About me

Msgr. Patrick Brennan
.
The Missouri River at Fort Benton, Montana . . . one of my favorite places.

I am a native Oregonian who attended high school and college at Mount Angel Seminary (1965-1973). I studied theology at the North American College and the Gregorian University in Rome (1973-1977; 1979-1980). I later studied Canon Law at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. (1983-1985).

I was ordained a priest in 1977 and have held a number of positions in the Archdiocese of Portland: president-rector of Mount Angel Seminary, vicar for clergy, judicial vicar, and pastor of St. Mary's Cathedral in Portland.

I retired from my position of pastor, but I am continuing as judicial vicar in our Tribunal.

One of my hobbies is photography, and I use this website to share my pictures. The picture above is not me, but I took the picture while visiting Fort Benton. Interestingly, one can travel from Fort Benton all the way to New Orleans by boat.
